Discipline Cases
Practice Restrictions
Dr. Ruben Manz (June 2021)
The Chiropractors’ Association of Saskatchewan (CAS) licenses and regulates the province’s chiropractors, with the mandate to protect the public interest under the authority of The Chiropractic Act, 1994. The CAS has received complaints against Dr. Manz alleging sexual impropriety and takes allegations of this nature very seriously.
In furtherance of the protection of the public, the CAS, with the consent of Dr. Manz, obtained a court order prohibiting Dr. Manz from examining or treating any female patient 10 years of age or older except in the presence of an approved observer. Under The Chiropractic Act, 1994, that court order will expire on July 18, 2021. The Investigation Committee of the CAS has obtained the agreement of Dr. Manz to extend this limitation on his practice until the conclusion of all of the pending criminal charges and disciplinary complaints.
